Paella
No trip to Barcelona is complete without trying their authentic paella feast! Paella is an iconic seafood and rice dish and it originates from Valencia. Originally it included meat and beans instead of fish. However, today Spain serves this delicacy almost everywhere. Paella is a dish which is eaten on important family occasions as well as celebrations.

Bombas
The next thing that we have on the menu is Bombas. During the Spanish Civil war, when Barcelona was in danger, many revolutionaries roamed around the slummy streets of Barcelona with some handmade grenades. These tiny grenades were extremely powerful and effective and this inspired the local chefs to invent an all-new Barcelona dish the “la bomba”.
Bombas is of a tennis ball size croquette, which is made up of potato and it served with different sauces, two to be precise actually. One is the white garlic allioli and the creamy, spicy red sauce. Bombas are super tasty, and a must try, primarily because of the rich history attached to it!
Where to eat?
Luckily, Bombas is served in a lot of places; however, the best place to try bombas is La bombeta.

Pa amp Tomaquet
This simple cuisine is served with bread and tomato. You can try this as an accompaniment with your main dishes. If you have tried garlic bread before, then you will surely enjoy Pa amp Tomaquet. It is a bread rubbed with garlic and seasoned with black pepper, olive oil, and some salt. The tomato juice is spread all across the bread, and this is what makes it so delicious. You can either have it alone or with some other dishes too. Some restaurants here in Barcelona will serve the ingredients separately. They will often come with cheese or slices of meat. You can add these ingredients also to make your very own Pa amp Tomaquet.
